I'm not into betting, but this talk of Ole Miss possibly being a home underdog when LSU visits got me wondering how home dogs perform in the SEC.

We have one coming up this weekend. Bama @ Kentucky (+10.5).

I like the Stein hire. Could see this staying within 10 points.

Two seasons isn't a huge data set to pull from but so far it seems like DeBoer's Bama teams underperform on the road against opponents they should easily beat. This weekend makes me nervous.

This is a chance for Alabama to establish this year is different with three straight home games to follow. It’s no secret that DeBoer has struggled in road games at Alabama (Florida State, OU, Tennessee, Vanderbilt) but he also has a win in Athens and a 29 point win in a night game in Baton Rogue.

If Alabama is sleep walking, Kentucky will cover and Alabama could lose. It’ll definitely be a challenge because Stein knows this is an early opportunity for a signature win.
