2012 Notre Dame beat two top 10 teams.
And Bama could have beaten them by 60 if they’d wanted to.

And Michigan could have destroyed your coach equally as bad.

No they couldn’t and we both know it.

It was 28-0 Bama at the half against Notre Dame. 35-0 before Notre Dame scored a point.

It was 20-13 in the 4th quarter with Michigan/Washington

Washington, Penix in particular, had a crazy playoff run.

Against Texas for most of the game, he was extremely accurate. I don't care if Texas didn't have the best secondary, they actually did cover the Washington WRs, but Penix was hitting them anyway. Perfect throws. And they caught everything. There was literally nothing Texas could do but try to keep up.

Against Michigan, it was damn near the opposite. After the initial shock of being steamrolled on every run, Penix had time to throw and WRs running open... and he missed them. Or he hit them, and they dropped it.
Washington wins if they have a passing game like vs Texas.

And that's a little bit why I'm leery of DeBoer... they were razor sharp vs Texas, but it seemed like they lost that focus at the end. And just couldn't regain it in the biggest game of the year. Might be nothing, but it could be lack of correct attention to detail; they got a little wild late in the Texas game, like they were celebrating. You don't celebrate a semifinal, not to the point where you lose your edge. The goal should always have been to get to that final game, and perform at your peak.
