And I can’t help but remember our backup returner a few years back fielding a kickoff on his way out of bounds at the 3 yard line. Against Arkansas no less.

Not at all confident. Corral looks the part this year. Depends on our run game. I hope if we win the the toss we take the ball this week. We need to not play from behind.

Excited.

I think it's gonna be a good game. I think both programs made great hires in Pittman and Kiffin.

I think the game will be back and forth and will depend on who wins the 4th Quarter.

Should be fun.

We play a ton of snaps because we play a ton of possessions and more of a bend but don’t break style. We are absolutely in the neighborhood of where we want to be though I’d like the red zone stat to be higher than 50. We give up 3.75 rushing yards per attempt. Y’all give up 3.94. I really believe that underestimating our defensive improvement is a mistake.

True...but we also have faced two Doak Walker candidates and held them under 100 yards.

I recognize that A&M O line is trash...but we did very good against Texas' running game.

Hogs aren't "reeling".
Everybody knew we'd lose to Georgia (except for a few low IQ hog fans who are GULLIBLE AF).

Ole Piss lost their Super Bowl by many many tuddies.

Ole miss could have as many as six starters out. Not feeling good.

A Wr, RB, OG, and a safety...what are the other 2?

I just don't think OM can stop our ground attack. I think we will take the air out of the ball by running and running and running some more. I also don't think OM can run on our 3man DLine. I think we play keep away on O and 8 deep on D and wait for Corral to get impatient and pick him off. Think the Hogs win handily.

I guess that's technically true, but, when Lane is gone 7-8 weeks from now will Ole Miss fans agree?

I thought we’d try to have a real discussion about a big game for once, considering these two programs haven’t been involved in many in recent years. Is this you trying to do that?

Not much to discuss really

Who bounces back better (the comment you quoted was me addressing that)

who runs the ball better

who dodges turnovers/critical injuries.

Yeah I can't get a read one way or the other on this game. Does one of us come out hung over from last week? Do we both put it behind us and come out and play hard? Too many motivational intangibles to really have a good feel for how this one turns out.

One of our third string players will come in and play like a Heisman winner and make some crazy play to win it. Typical OM/Ark shite.

Winner probably ends up in the Sugar bowl.

Omg, that’s hilarious. Florida will only take one more L. They are going to the Sugar if GA and Bama both ended up in the playoff(which I doubt). Us Westies are all gonna beat up each other’s records and end up in the Outback, Gator and whatever else there is for the midtier SEC teams

I think this is dead on. A lot will hing on whether our D can force some stops and whether we can match y’all’s physicality.

I’ve seen some people saying that this is a sneaky rivalry game lately. In my opinion it’s one of the best border state rivalry games in the SEC. There is of course some good bowl game history pre SEC. And as a Rebel growing up in Texas I was thankful for getting those games on Raycom so I could see the Rebs play every now and then back in the Hogs’ SWC days. And obviously it’s been a weird and quirky game for the most part in the last 20 years. Outside of UGA-Florida and Auburn-UGA, what non instate rivalry games have been better in this league?

Hard one to call and both teams, for whatever reason, tend to bring out the best in each other. Maybe the most under rated rivalry in the SEC.

agree. this is a hard match up to call.

I think it will depend largely on how KJ is feeling. If the knee is good we'll be fine. If he's still limited mobility-wise it takes a lot out of our offense.
