Why don't we just use our good bull pen guys???
I will be shocked if Fant is still pitching to start the third inning.

I've said it many times, but I don't understand DVH's pitching decisions most of the time. He sees stuff in practice that we don't see, but still...pulling Astin for Daniel was a HUGE gamble.

That's because you like looking at Astin's butt.

He has a nice one.
Matt Reynolds has taken the place of Eibner in my AR baseball <3 though.

If Reynolds would start hitting like Eibner I might start to <3 him too

People forget Eibner wasn't a fantastic hitter. He did have two of the most memorable HRs during that era though.
Wilkins, Cox, and Tschep were our best hitters at the time.

Eibner just had power....wasn't a great hitter all around. But I only liked him for his looks/butt...same with Reynolds.

Eibner would K like a motherfricker

And the shot at Alex Box that still hasn't landed. Even LSU fans will admit that was the longest HR in that ballpark, and it will probably always be with the new bats.

He had a trigger problem for awhile, no? He would just sit there. Drove me nuts.

Would watch amazing pitches and just stroll back to the dugout. At least he never took it with him to the outfield, I would go insane. From what I heard he did carry it with him off the field though

I say beaned 5 times, including one that manages to fly into the dugout and nail DVH as he's giving Fant a massage.

The kid was clutch in big games, had a cannon for a arm in CF, and could come in and pitch a few innings.
Fun to watch.

He wasn't consistent but by God if you're down to your last strike take Wilkins etc all you want. I take some E Bombs. Most clutch hitter I've ever seen.
