Gary knows more about football than this entire board collectively. The only complaint I ever hear about Gary is that is biased against insert homer's team here
He has to go in with a sport's storyline that annoys people. All of them have to. At least he is willing to say when it changes.
Herbie does nothing but toss out word salad of football cliche's and generic coach speak like "If Ohio State expects to compete they are going to need to score more points" so he can fill air time.

Rece Davis is a very close second.
Danielson's by far the most knowledgeable and prepared color man in college football. I'm not fond of his "midwesterner" personality either, but the guy REALLY knows his shite, and I like that in an analyst.
