He is going to get Memphis in a lot of trouble. I see a lot of similarities in that hire as I do the Nick Saban hire at Alabama. Win at all costs. Pay the highest salary. school thinks they are the holy grail of the sport. redneck fanbase.

Wow...just wow.

the facts were made public and the NCAA CLEARED CAL prior to being hired at UK.

I can understand getting Kige all riled up..but give the whole cheating thing a rest please. It's salacious and beneath most of you.

Hey Gump, you are the one with NCAA sanctions about to be released next week. I wouldn't be laughing. Auburn is not under investigation currently.

I love it. Skip the "funny guy" on 1st and 10 is suggesting a one year ban without pay for Calipari.
This would be Calipari's second final four that would be vacated.

What else can you say.

By the way, Stephen Bardo agreed with Skip.

Calipari + Kentucky = lack of institutional control

Someone needs to make a fark of the pic of Kige and I agree with this.

Change it to "I agree with Coach Cal and however he decides to cheat"

repost:

First and foremost, there are no NCAA allegations against UK Head Men’s Basketball Coach John Calipari. Coach Calipari was forthcoming with the University of Kentucky during the hiring process about any issues under investigation at the University of Memphis at that time.

It is normal procedure for the NCAA to ask a former coach to participate in a hearing. Therefore, Coach Calipari will participate as requested.

Coach John Calipari has received a letter from the NCAA stating that he is not at risk of being charged with any NCAA violations in this case.

This is a University of Memphis issue and the University of Kentucky will not comment any further.

I personally know UK's compliance Officer Sandy Bell, and she is widely respected and her expertise has been utilized by several folks in the SEC...sans Kiffin obviously.

That was a great comment btw. Surely for shock value or attention, but mainly rediculously underthought.

Are you just flaming or implying Saban runs a dirty program? You may dislike Saban for other reasons, but I don't think he's ever had issues with the NCAA. He ran a clean program at MSU, LSU and I expect the same for Bama.

I have no real problem with Kentucky basketball. But Calipari is beginning to develop a history/legacy at the programs he has coached. I guess the question should be: Can Kentucky control Calipari?

All of this info about Calipari makes you want to say Hmmmmm!

He's a great coach but...

Well, there are actually no allegations against Coach Cal.

UK has one of the most strict compliance offices in the NCAA. If Sandy Bell even thought that there was anything remotely bad going on, she would not let it fly.

At UMASS, Cal was cleared of any wrong doing. The NCAA gave UK a report on Cal before they even talked to him about the job, and that report said that he has not been guilty of any infractions, nor was he under any investigation for any.

Nothing to do with UK.
