It's the truth there pal but name-calling instead of discussing football is definitely the way to go here and help your case.

well we are talking about football, so of course an Aggie would know nothing about the subject.

Whatever. No objective person looked at that play and thought it was clean. In the NFL, that's a fine.
a shoulder to chest hit is a fine in the NFL?!

:roflmao: maybe it really is Alabama and the Pac12.

Then what was he planning on doing? He was looking at the ball-carrier. He was moving laterally to his path. If he had broke that tackle a second later, was Murray just gonna step out of the way and let him run it all the way to the end zone without even attempting to tackle him?

You don't seriously believe that.

Got no issue with putting Murray on his arse. But that was way beyond that. That was like the Kurt Warner shot in 09 by the saints. Anyone to deny this hit was dirty is delusional.

Bama fans. This thread is a troll. There was nothing dirty on that play. A shoulder to chest hit?!

Sec: "oh Bama, don't hit us! Hitting hurts".

It think it was excessive and unnecessary roughness but not at all illegal in any way. Therefore, he will not be suspended. I would say the same thing no matter who it was. There's nothing illegal about it.

This is UGA's claim now. "He wasn't TRYING hard enough to justify blocking him."

Give me a freaking break you vaginas. He thew a pick, he was on defense, he was jogging toward the play, he got blocked.

Listen, I've got no problem with Murray getting blocked, just the way it was done was dangerous. Shove him to the ground, fine. A 290 lb dude targeting someone violently, not ok.

I know football is a violent game, but at some point it has to be under control

So you wanna suspend and punish a player for a perfectly legal hit, because he hit him too hard?

Pretty much what McCarron did on the blocked kick, got shoved briefly and took a b line to the sideline

I disagree but I can at least see your argument since its logical unlike douche bag flakes. I call it like I see it no matter the team, and I just saw it as an attempt to take the starting QB out of the game. He could have rocked his world by hitting him in the chest, but went straight for his head.

Dude blindsided Murray with a helmet to the fricking jaw. In the NFL it's a fine and suspension.

If it had been a punt return, and some random defender (not a qb) in the exact same places and timing on the field (and Bama wasn't involved) we would all be saying damn what an awesome block and no one would think twice about it.

I dunno the helmet to helmet contact just seems dirty. Like I said if he would have hit him with the same amount of force but in the chest, I would have laughed my arse off. QB is too protected now a days during normal game play, but on an INT that was just a dirty play IMO

I don't think Dial was trying to be dirty but I do think it should have been called. I wonder if people would feel different about it if it was a running back or tight end taking the hit.
