All I can say is if I was a DB and either was coming my way, I would face plant in the turf before they reached me.

You obviously are completely ignorant with regards to global politics if you are making this analogy.

I think you are ignorant to basic civics and have no clue what a republic is.

I believe in power to the people, not power to the elites using centralized government to bring in fascism(corporate control of government).

Herschel is still in better shape that 95% of college athletes

Because he still works out like a college athlete. Remember Herschel always talks about getting into sports because he was tired of being teased as the fat kid. He’s had to work very hard his entire life to be the athlete he is

Bo looks like he ate 1990 Bo.

Maybe his artificial hip with no surrounding cartilage and permanent arthritis makes it a little difficult for him to work out at 59.

Herschel has meet times. 10.10 in the 100m wind aided. 10.23 in the 100m wind legal. 6.11 in the 55m. I only responded because someone referenced pure athlete.

Bo was playing baseball in the spring and becoming the #1 overall draft pick while running track on the side. Jackson only ran track one year at Auburn, Walker all 3 he was at UGA. Jackson still managed to qualify for the NCAA finals in the 100m. He was also a high level decathlete in high school. Walker was solely a sprinter. Walker’s best finish in the NCAA finals was 7th. Yes Carl Lewis won that race, but Walker finished behind 6 other guys too.

I mean we’re kinda splitting hairs here. Walker’s non wind-aided results in the 100m were about right there with Jackson outside the one race where he ran a 10.23. They both typically ran in the high 10.3s to low 10.4s

Bottom line, they’re both freaks of nature

NY Times link

quote:

Carl Lewis, running in the event for the first time this winter, overcame a false start, then set a world indoor-best time of 6.02 seconds in the 60-yard dash tonight at The Dallas Times Herald invitation meet.
Lewis bettered the previous best time of 6.04 set by Stanley Floyd in this meet in 1981.

Herschel Walker Beaten
Lewis, who was representing the Santa Monica Track Club, although he is enrolled in the University of Houston, outlasted Herschel Walker, Georgia's all-America football tailback, who finished second in 6.12. Bruce Davis of Baylor was third, also in 6.12, and Floyd was fourth in 6.15.

And Bo's best 100m time was 10.44.
LOL at dismissing Herschel's best time which was .2 in the 100 meter dash as if they are close to equal.

You can make all the excuses as to why Herschel was faster that you want. It is a good look.

As a kid Herschel started running and doing a regiment of push-ups and sit ups. He was never a weight lifting guy. He still claims to do 2000 pushups and sit-ups daily. That's a freak mindset and is why he still can outrun most college athletes at 60.

You mean other than the fact that Herschel was measurably faster and stronger than Bo? Which pure athletic traits are you referencing?

Bo played multiple sports at the pro level.

So has Herschel.

The comment was about pure athleticism. Baseball shouldn't be confused as a sport highlighting pure athleticism.

The late 70s early 80s is my favorite era of SEC football.

Yeah, go ahead and show me how well you can hit a baseball coming from a pro pitcher.

Nobody gives a crap about Burrow.

Herschel was the better football player.

Bo is the better athlete/myth.

I remember reading somewhere that he did all body weight exercises. Pretty impressive getting that huge with no formal weight training if true.

Show me that you can cover corner a professional wide receiver.

I promise you that my success rate will be better than yours.

I have Bo as greatest college athlete of all time. Conference does not matter. Hershel Walker was badass RB but Bo was the man.
