Bingo. When you lost to two teams that are just as “weak” as any team on SMU’s schedule, you don’t deserve to be in. If you had even won ONE of those games, particularly the Oklahoma game because they just flat out embarrassed Bama, you’d have a very solid argument and probably should be in. Dropping one game you shouldn’t (Vandy) is one thing, but dropping 2 you absolutely shouldn’t? That’s different completely.

So you’re saying Bama is 9-3 on paper but should really be looked at as 12-3 since they beat themselves in each of those losses. That is 3 more quality wins… I’m convinced.
