Alabama had the ball at the end of the game with a the chance to drive and kick a FG to force OT.

That game was never in doubt.

You can say that, but the kicker still caught it and converted the 1st down. He had to react to the bounce and he did.

Just like a certain LSU game in 2002 versus Kentucky? Or the LSU fans that, to this day, think Jarrett Lee was going to march 65 yards for a go-ahead TD late in the fourth quarter of the 2009 game.

maybe he would have. Maybe he wouldn't. Maybe someone breaks a long run or there's a blown coverage. Who knows? But the refs took the chance away from us.

You cant say for a fact that he wouldnt have. Just like we cant say for a fact that he would have. The point is, LSU was denied the OPPORTUNITY to try...

not that hard to understand really

Then why is the 2010 Alabama-LSU game one that was "never in doubt", when Alabama still had the ball with a chance to at least get into FG range?

I didnt said that, but bama was never denied an opportunity to score like LSU was in 09 when PP made a play. They actually got the chance. They just couldnt make the plays.

it was less in doubt than the 09 game. when the int happened there was more time than 30 seconds.

if you can't figure out the difference between the two then there is no helping you.

I'm just posting the question. Not making a judgement one way or the other.

Not really. We're talking about fluke plays, strange endings to game, what "in doubt" and not. I'm not comparing game to game, and saying they're similar.
