Spending money on players dont guarantee wins and good football. Look at Texas. They've spent plenty of money and are struggling to beat Miss St and most any SEC team. Player develop and retention still will play a role in team success. Its not JUST all about spending. Though it doesn't get advertised, there are a lot of schools who've invested a lot of money into players and its not working. Coaching and development still means a lot.

One of the LSU posters in here was bragging about multiple championships in sports this past year.
It then occurred to me that football was no longer a priority at LSU.
Who gives a shite about women's basketball?

I know that’s hard for us LSU Fans to accept but it spot on for today’s world of Football. As much as I would like to blame Kelly for this failure, he did the smart thing to accept the 96 million over 10 years.
Our fan base needs to focus their frustrations first and foremost on the root cause of the problem that lies within Scott Woodwards stupidity to offer that contract. He should be the very first person fired for putting LSU in that same position he put TA&M in a few years back.
LSU will have to keep Kelley but they should force him to fire all his loyalty coaches he brought in that followed him into the program. Force him on and island to make him uncomfortable. Maybe he will start coaching again. Hell I would not care if they brought in a different person and kept Kelley on the payroll making him miserable to the point he would have to restructure his buyout. Make him the highest paid janitor in the universe.
