You can throw out the stats for almost every game except against a few teams.

Exactly, because the NCAA does this. Much like points scored on kick and punt returns goes against the defense, and much more familiar to LSU fans, points on interception returns count against the d as well.

stats do not matter in this game. gonna come down to who wants it more. LSU hasn't shown much emotion yet this season, but I have a good feeling they will be up for this.
