Who wins the "we got away with the Memphis shite"?
I pick Auburn.
I think everyone does honestly. State will prob be slapped on the wrist the hardest though, since the name went public and the DA "reporters" around Starkville published a couple hearsay pieces.
Fact is, Memphis and BDv can dish the dirt on at least half the SEC if they have the urge to. No way the NCAA hammers(as many as) half the SEC teams at once. It would be practically a death sentence to the NCAA as an organization. No one that has recruited the area is above suspicion, and there has been alot of people throwing stones that are really living in a glass house in the situation if you dig enough to see what lies just below the surface... No Memphis recruiting is clean, IMO...

State QB will slice up the AU secondary and especially little short passes, and screens on the AU linebackers. That will be the difference.

Meh Malzahn is overrated

Not when he has players that fit in his schemes.
Frazier is going to look shitty all season bc he's built for Malzahn's offense.
Now he's the starting QB for a completely different offense that he's not well suited for.
This is why Malzahn is the reason state will win. Not that Malzahn is great but bc the players were recruited for his style of offense that isn't being run anymore.

All that being said, Auburn won last year. Upgraded DC and I suppose we can assume downgraded at OC. So why is State going to be better?
From what I remember, auburn was lucky to win the game last year. Looked like the weaker team.
If MsState is better than last year they will win. auburn has looked dysfunctional this year.
If auburn wins it will be a long year for State.

You seem convinced auburn is better this year. I have not seen it.
Clemson was clearly not as good as they were last year and still beat you.
I don't think auburn will score over 13 points. I think Mullen is way better than Chizik. Especially at building an offense. State has an experienced QB. auburns best qb quit the team after last year. Frasier looked lost. State can tackle. The more I study this game the more I think auburn gets grind-ed to a pulp.

What they are not getting is we return most of the offense that put up 530 yards on them. Not only that, we have added depth to the OL, Wr, and a better passing game.

LOL, YOu should go back and watch the game and not just talk shite
Auburn was leading by two touchdowns late in the game. Gave State one and stopped them from scoring to tie the game late.
We were never in danger of losing the game.
Watch the game again and don't just make shite up

Sounds like you should take some of your own advice and watch the game again. You gave us a td you say, i say we spotted you 14 points in the first 5 minutes.

436 yards were produced by Relf & Ballard. Or roughly 82%. How the hell do you return most of the offense?

Wash? Trotter and Dyer accounted for 77% of AU's offense.

I seem to remember last second goal line stand on the 1 yard line where the outcome of the game was in question.

we spotted you 14 points to start the game. We severely outgained you. If our quarterback gets two more inches on the last play, we go for two and the whole game is decided on that play. But you were never in danger though.

Never gets old.
Maybe you should repeat it a couple more times. It's not like Auburn had anything to do with that. Merlins should have had y'all better prepared where you're not committing penalty after penalty. Your defense should have tried tackling Dyer. Or Relf shouldn't have pegged a receiver in the helmet.
Of course I can always say, if Trotter doesn't throw a pick 6, or if Auburn recovers Ballard's fumble in the 4th, the game isn't even close.

The last two games have been close as state fans love to point out, that comes down to coaching
2010 it came down to Cam. I think AU got out coached that game.
2011 - We got out coached. No doubt. But you guys had Malzahn. He gone.

I think the OP is desperate for a non MSU take on why State should be a clear favorite.
To me, it's a pretty exhaustive list; MSU is more physical than a Clemson team that, at times, had it's way with Auburn up front.
In terms of quarterback play, while I'm not super-sold on Tyler Russell, but the complete lack of execution in the Auburn passing game under Fraizer neutralizes something that has been a traditional Auburn advantage over the past decade of State-Auburn matchups. When two of twenty-seven throws constitute half of your passing yardage, your passing game is overdependent on the big play.
Because Auburn is so one-dimensional, it plays to the strength of the State defense; Auburn will at least have to pay lip service to stopping the State passing game.
While I buy the team defensive speed of Auburn being better, I don't like their tackling compared to State, nor do I see them getting after Russell as effectively as State will get after Frazier.
I don't think it'll be pretty, nor do I think it'll be a smooth domination-- turnovers and one or two broken plays in the pass game could even give Auburn a win-- but I do feel pretty comfortable with State winning the game.
