Heisman Curse

Heres a list of the Heisman Trophy winners since 2000 and their result in the National Championship game:

2000-Chris Weinke-lost National Championship game
2001- Eric Crouch- lost NC game
2002- Carson Palmer- didn't even play in NC game
2003- Jason White- lost NC game
2004- Matt Leinhart- won NC game
2005- Reggie Bush- lost NC game
2006- Troy Smith- lost NC game
2007- Tim Tebow- didn't even play in NC game
2008- Sam Bradford- lost NC game

All quarterbacks. I think this is significant in the curse.

Woops... Reggie Bush. Still. Insignificant.

Looks like every 5th guy wins. Great! Hope we keep that pattern going.

But only two RBs have played for the national title in the last 25 years, that won the Heisman in the same year.

We've never lost the game after winning the Heisman. I like our chances.
