Let’s have a look at the Ole Miss-Arky game:

Let’s have a look at OM trips to Atlanta

LINK

Let me know when you catch-up in the series Rebs. This will be the best Kiffin team for a couple years and maybe his last at OM

like the rule you can’t come back until next first down by the offense

This has been the consensus for a few years. A new set of downs or change of possession seems to be the most appropriate change to discourage the theater without getting carried away with subjective rules enforcement.

Yet, the # of modern SEC championships is the same.

*lest we forget 2002 appearance was solely due to Bama being ineligible

The 0 regular season 10 win seasons is a much sharper jab for Ole Miss. Although in an SEC year of change (MSU team championship, Saban losing to former assistant, UGA on-track to reset their 40 year NC drought, etc.), you have to like Lane's chances of erasing that one as well.

How can you force a rule change here? Penalize teams when a player gets hurt? Force an injured player to play? We all know what’s obvious and fake, but how do you write the rule to properly enforce the spirit of it?

The easiest way is mentioned above and multiple times over last couple of years.

Option A: instead of sitting out one play for injury, the player sits until the next series of downs

Option B (more severe): player is ineligible until change I'm possession and/or after a TD in case of 2 pt attempt

Either change the calculus of mystery injuries, especially in key moments and games.

The speed the offense is traveling makes this strategy the perfect rebuttal. Not a thing anyone can do about it without reinventing college football. I like it.

Kiffin is perhaps the biggest hypocrite in the SEC, given his offensive identity, but who does hypocrisy better than the Lane Train. I like that too.

speed the offense

Imagine how quickly QBs would jump back to their feet after a hit to avoid sitting for a series or remainder of possession. And, imagine how hard LBS and DTs would get after it on defense to cause that to happen

Good all around
