Being left out of the SECCG is a plus unless of course you win the SECCG.
5 also works against UGA. The UK game was tight.

I’d rather have a first round bye in the playoffs
Obviously BUT is it better to play an 11 or 12 seed than LSU/ATM in Atlanta? Most likely the lower seeded teams (10-12) will be less physical than any SEC team in the SECCG.

Everyone talks about Auburn always having a 'voodoo' curse on other teams......Bama sure has one on us!

You're looking at it the wrong way. Think of missing the SECCG AS the bye week. Surely your first round match up would be easier than whomever you'd face in the SECCG.
You're right. I didn't consider that.

If its against the faggies, get some spine. Lsu is the better team, and I want to prove it. I'd kill for a chance to slap them in the mouth before the playoffs and I have every faith that we'd be sec Champs in that scenario.

It’s called the curse of the SEC refs

Are you kidding? Obviously you weren’t watching your last game.

Winning the SEC is really the bigger accomplishment than winning the playoff in my opinion.

In this scenario laid out by OP, LSU gets a rematch at a neutral site against A&M, with possible elimination on a 3rd loss staring them in the face.
UGA gets Boise at home (before you celebrate, remember 2011).
It kinda seems like an LSU sort of thing to happen, that we make Atlanta and miss the playoffs.

Happened to Georgia last year.
And it’s 2024 not 2011. And a very different UGA team
