Not sure why the downvotes.
Yes, head to head should matter.
But the whole thing is fixed to a degree.
If there was some way to follow the money it would be proven.
Up votes and down votes are like the forum's popularity contest.
They don't count for much.

My God, how stupid can you be?
Don't answer that.
I'm a Tennessee fan. I don't give a rats arse about Ole Miss. However, they should be ahead of UGA.

Alabama Georgia Ole Miss Tennessee These 4 teams will still be tied after H2H because they haven’t played everyone else. So then you go to resume.
He might stroke out trying to comprehend this. I am sure he is still working on it

Vols should be ahead of bama. Why aren’t you so mad about that?

In all fairness, this year’s SEC schedules have been so unbalanced that I get the argument.
UT will have played 2 ranked teams by the end of the year and lost to at least 1 of them. Their SEC schedule is an utter joke.
UGA on the other hand has played 4 teams in the top 13, and is 2-2 against them.
Bama has played 2 top 15 teams and are 1-1.
UT has played 2 top 15 teams and are 1-1.
Ole Miss has played 1 top 15 team and is 1-0.
A&M? Will have 1 top 15 team all season.
That is absurd and as much as I hate UGA, it is crazy, especially since they played @Ole Miss, @UTa and @ Bama.
Unless schedules are equal, this will continue to be the BS that is college football.

Bama who beat uga who beat Tennessee.
Ole miss got lucky and only had to play 1 of them.
They must have a low SOS on the resume.

I mean as a fan I see what you’re saying and that’s definitely a possibility...what do the coaches and players think? As we move away from what was a college sport where university pride and commitment matters in to semi pro for pay mercenary football it’s completely possible. Although, league championships are a huge revenue maker.

This is where there will be changes that we can't even comprehend. The days of contracts aren't too far ahead. Schools are not going to allow these high paid players to opt out of bowl games and playoff games for fear of getting hurt and damaging their NFL career.
Once everyone is getting paid they're going to start making new rules that nobody will like. Yet, we will be stuck with them. In the next 5 years will probably have salary caps and no telling what else. There will be no amateur football past High School. I'm wondering when high school players will start demanding to be paid.

Its shocking how dumb so many people are. let's do a simple exercise. Should Vanderbilt be ranked higher than Alabama?
If your answer is no, why not? I'm GUESSING your answer would be "because they have more losses and don't have the total body of work" which would mean....you're using their entire season resume as your talking point. Am I right?
Again, you can't point to one single game out of 12 as a basis for a ranking. You look at all 12. Anyone who can't comprehend this isn't worth talking to.

Every argument like this is hinged around us not having divisions. Blame that on Bama, Auburn, and LSU because they all thought they would rule the new SEC, and they didn't want divisions holding them back.
We need divisions.
We need divisions.

You are white knighting for a team you’re not a fan of based on an extremely illogical argument. I can’t possibly think of a reason why I would think you’re a rebel fan. Lol.

Of course overall record matters, you idiot. But when the overall records match you go by the head to head.
