Not saying the IRS will get involved just if I were a player, before I told on myself I would think twice.

So they read them the allegations? Did they allow them to respond or present players who offered statements to the contrary? Yeah. Thought not. Thanks.
And you know this? Or maybe they offered no responds or there were no players with statements to the contrary.

My thing is.. this may be germans.. but why would Auburn broadcast to other players not getting paid that there were other players getting paid.. like "hey you think you deserve money as much as the next guy but we're paying him.... please keep paying for free"

Yep No shite, they only pay the ones they have to or think they need to in order to sign them. Tell them to keep their damn mouth shut about it and the money will continue to flow. Open your mouth and the "au family" ruins you and your family

There's probably a limit, but full-time students have a tax exemption...

What do you EXPECT them to say now that he has ran his mouth. "yeah.. they asked, but we did not want him to so .... blah, blah, blah"

Look at Chiz's original statement. He said HBO didn't attempt to try to contact him. Now he's saying they didn't try to interview him. Changing his story and mincing words now. Can't trust the guy.

Not nearly the reach you've put out there. If you're going to claim that they didn't try to talk to him after they called the SID and went over the detailed allegations, but it wasn't an attempt to get a comment from him, then changing his story from that to trying to get interviewed is pretty disengenuous of him. Worse than a politician. The guy can't be trusted.

quote:HBO never claimed to try to talk to Chiz and Chiz's statement was technically not a lie. However, if they indeed contacted the SID to get a response from AU, Chiz probably should not have said they didn't try to contact him. Maybe they didn't try to contact him, but it is fair that HBO called the SID for a response. JMO.

Only been a day and Chiz and co. is changing what they said.

quote:They aren't changing what they said you flaming moron. Calling the SID's office is not trying to contact the coach. They called a number and read the allegations and asked whoever answered the phone for a response. Could Chiz or someone have responded, sure, but it doesn't mean AU or Chiz has changed their story.
