A lot better than 0-3 in season openers and losing 3 games with the Heisman winner

So glad you personally had a hand in all that. You should feel proud of everything you've accomplished.

What if it’s the most talented team ever recorded? Would that guarantee a playoff spot by your estimation?

Alabama had to replace over 40% of their 85 scholarship players after Saban retired. Two of those ended up being 1st team all Americans at another school. Six of Alabama’s 22 position starters, over 25%, where first year players. Two of them were true freshmen.

Yet 247 still listed Alabama ss having the most talented roster. That is an indictment of 247 more than it is Alabama. They have clearly not figured out how to account for the explosion of transfer players in their roster rankings.

Do you think that LSU had the 8th most talentd roster in the country? 247 says you did. Because if they were, then LSU underperformed even more than Alabama based upon their talent ranking and final ranking.

You finished unranked. You love rankings and numbers so this should be right up your alley.

Alabama 24/7 talent ranking: 1 Alabama final AP ranking: 17. Difference: +16

LSU 24/7 talent ranking: 8. LSU final AP ranking: 27 (unranked but second in receiving votes). Difference: +19. Alabama finished 16 spots worse than expected based on 24/7 roster talent. But LSU finished 19 spots worse.

Why do you think LSU did so poorly considering 24/7 said they had a stacked top 10 roster?

Why do so many of your threads blow up in your face?

Probably just some Bama bias really, we both went 9-4 and LSU had a tougher strength of schedule and better strength of record, per ESPN.

“The people who do this for a living are wrong and I’m right!”

Most talented team ever lost the Reliaquest bowl, travesty.

That means the 8th best team in the country this year finished unranked AND got the brakes beat off them by the team that lost the Reliaquest Bowl.

I may not be right, but damned if they seem to be on their game either.

6 teams met this criteria in 2024, per 247 Sports, and 5 of them made the CFP.

I'm sorry but this just doesn't explain how LSU lost to Florida. Still trying to figure this one out.

I mean damn it was 17 years of greatness. Alabama was way past due for a shitty season. As far as bad seasons go the one Bama just had was relatively mild. It was embarrassing no doubt, but it certainly wasn’t Florida State bad.

I guess LSU fans are having a tough time with the dumbest QB to ever play for Alabama doing this to them:

It's weird that Milroe was supposedly so terrible and dumb yet your new coach never even tried anyone else.

Imagining is about the only way LSU is going to be #1.

"Judge me in year 3"

"BTW, I killed a kid"

I'll take our guy...

BK and DeBoer are fairly equal IMO

Deboer and Kelly can't be compared because they're in different stages of their careers at their respective school. Kelly is in year four of his tenure at LSU, and DeBoer is entering his second year. First years at program come with a lot of transition and dealing with massive changes. Revisit this conversation in year three for DeBoer.

Didn't your best team in history give up 38pts to Vandy?
