Those come far after the investigation starts. The NCAA knows the answers to the questions they put in the PLOI, most often times. If Auburn recieves that, it will be late in this year or even next year before it happens probably.

Is that a fact? I honestly don't know the protocol.

I do stand by my statement that I really doubt we're getting in any real trouble.

If I lived down there, I'd contract to cut them down when it came time, for free. Whoever does cut them, can take the wood and make a fortune making wooden plaques about Toomer's corner with the wood from it.

Unless you are who they talked to, you can't be 100% certain.

Call it 99.9% then. If you are in the food court and try to get a free upgrade to a combo because you got it last week and they are rude and say no, you have to pay the extra $3.50, you are probably going to walk 20 feet down to Sbarro for something else. If you are all alone on a desert highway hwy and you're starving and all the gas station has left is a 5 hr old, limp arse small burger under a heat lamp for $5, you are going to pay the $5. Why...because you have no leverage...no other options. Kenny Rogers negotiation said EXACTLY that.

I don't have an issue with people speculating that Cam might have known and it stands to reason that Cam might have come to AU because he was paid to do so...I have a serious issue with people saying that it is crystal clear that it happened. The hell it is...it's not even murky. This is all guesswork and anyone saying that they know one way or the other is full of shite or self-delusion. None of us do. And because of this, I am also totally sick of this "it's ok to go ahead and convict Auburn on a preponderance of rumor" attitude.

That's pretty much protocol. They investigate, gather as much information as they can. Then they present the University with a PLOI with allegations and give them a chance to respond to the allegations. After that, they find the answers satisfactory, insufficient and ask for clarification or accept them and move to the Committe on Infractions for the punishment phase. It sucks I know this so easily.

When Auburn actually gets a PLOI, worry. Until then, it's nothing but bammers popping off to get a reaction.

huh

Seems I always thought the school was given a letter of inquiry as soon as their is an investigation just to give them a heads up and what might emerge.

If the NCAA is asking questions, it's time to worry. Many times, original questions are found to be unsubstantiated, but other problems are found in the discourse of the investigation. Until the NCAA says for certain it's over and no longer asking, I'd be concerned as a fan.

No sir. They investigate and gather their alot of info before they send out the PLOI. They dig further after that.

Good point. Nobody's heard anything from them in Auburn since they declared Cam eligible.

One of the first things that has to happen is they have to actually have something to investigate, an allegation. To date, there's been none made on Auburn. And no, idiot bammers wishing it, doesn't count.

Ross, you know us Alabama fans truly are well versed in the whims and folly of the NCAA.

We have been there done that, and frick the t-shirt. lol

We may be assholes to y'all, but most of use know chapter and verse when it comes to the workings of an NCAA investigation. lol

Investigators were in Atlanta the week of Christmas questioning contractors that were listed on permits for Cecil's church. Auburn and its officials don't have to be the ones who're found guilty. If something went down with a booster, or the NCAA feels they weren't diligent in their end of looking into things, it could get ugly. Again.. I'm talking from experience.

I've heard that about the contractors, but haven't seen anything to know it to be other than rumor. You have a link?

I know how it works with boosters.
