This didn’t go the way you hoped.

ND was #5 in BK’s last season.

They finished #5 this season.

Kelly lost to USCw and Texas &M. Freeman did beat Texas A&M and USCw. That right there proved Freeman is the better HC.

Cool. Where is the champ rings from those regular season victories you deem so important? This is hilarious.

This dude‘s OCD won’t let it go, lol. He refuses to recognize the difference between the two programs, as far as how each coach was in a completely different situation, when they took over. What Notre Dame is doing now, is a direct reflection of how Kelly left the program.

Maybe you guys can improve when you fire him too though?

We seem to win a national championship with all of our coaches so you are probably right

This would probably be true if both played as an independent or both were in the SEC and ND got in over LSU.

There’s really no way to compare the two. I mean isn’t the current ND coach doing the exact same thing BK was doing when he was there? It’s not like BK didn’t make the playoffs at ND.

He did do something that Kelly couldn't do this year. Freeman did beat Texas A&M and USCw. Kelly lost to those two same teams.

So the goalposts have moved? Originally we were discussing Kelly's ND tenure vs Freeman's ND tenure but now you're trying to discuss something entirely different. 2021 ND was a much better team than 2021 LSU. Freeman took over ND from there and Kelly took over LSU from there. Rebuilding a program basically from scratch isn't the same as taking over a stable program that was in the top 5 when you took over.

This is hilarious.

If Kelly had won those two teams LSU would've been in the playoffs!

Kelly lost to two teams that Freeman was able to beat. That is why Freeman and Notre Dame is in the playoffs and not Kelly and LSU.

If you ask him about Drinkwitz losing to BK, he will make excuses.

And yet, they are in the playoffs while Kelly is fishing.

BK has been a HC for a long time. LSU has been recruiting 4* and 5* players regularly long before Kelly was at LSU. Mizzou has not been doing that until NIL and the transfer portal rule change helped Drinkwitz big time. I have said in several posts that Drinkwitz is moving Mizzou in the right direction. It will take time and is not an overnight fix. Mizzou isn't a powerhouse in football. So he is doing it the right way and it is paying off big time. Once Drinkwitz gets more blue chip talents he will have the team competing against top programs on a regular basis.

Exactly, a lot of excuses for your .600 coach

But Brian Kelly didn’t inherit a roster that had a bunch of 4 and 5 star recruits at LSU….
