The sec network wasn’t feasible in 2011. Then aggy and mizzou joined and the network was started shortly thereafter.

Without ADDING the TV eyeballs, there is no network. How the SEC got those eyeballs could be done different ways, but adding two states with big citiesd did the trick.

More than 102,000 fans turned out for the game against Iowa St. (one of,the stadium's largest crowds in history) because it was TEXAS playing. West Virginia also exceeded capacity, as did USC.
Poor aggy would have to shut down its swimming program or drop baseball if y'all were still in the Big 12, being mediocre as usual.

But what happened to this notion that aggy would show up in a parking lot to see a game against St. Mary's? Even one of your previous athletics directors held on to this false narrative and was rudely awakened when he was fired because of spiraling deficits.
Aggy needs sexy opponents or you lose interest and lose money. You hate others more than you love yourself.
NOT the mark of a great fanbase.
