that's the line in that article basically saying "shite happens".

I totally agree bad spots happen... but you can watch that video and the guy very obviously didn't just make a shitty spot- he changed his spot to affect the game. It really isn't debatable.

And from his article"

"Ah, ha! Proof that the SEC cheats for Alabama, right?

Wrong."

Then he says this:

Bad spots happen in football. Bad calls happen in football. They happen in every game, in every stadium.

Which is true. But bad spots don't occur because the ref shuffled his spotting foot, checks the location of the marker, re-shuffles his spotting foot forward and spots the tail of the ball at his toe instead of the nose of the ball at the toe.

Bad spots occur because the refs miss the placement of the ball when the ball carrier's knee or elbow are down. Not the way this bad spot occurred.

No. He changed his spot to reflect the other officials spot (who was the one who had the clear view).

Watch the replay and see where the ball was when his knee hit the ground. The ref was ABOUT to screw Bama big time.

Okay. Here it is:

The ball is clearly behind the marker when the runners right knee touches the ground.

I really hope the Alabama/LSU game comes down to a call by the refs that seals the win for Alabama because there is nothing on this earth more amusing than watching your fan base bitch about the officials.

Ha because you Gumps didn't whine about that reciever being shoved out of the way in the end zone by Corey Webster years ago? Oh wait. You were still in grade school then. Nevermind. Carry your Gump arse on..

He isn't trolling. When it comes to conspiracy theories about officiating and the state of Alabama, LSU fans go full retard.

Like someone else said, I always hope we beat them on a blown call.

Great! That doesn't show anything.

Oh and the game clock, 13:40 remaining in the 1st quarter? Obviously, that's time for the refs to start cheating!!!

His right knee is down.

Regardless. If the ref knew the spot of the ball why did he not initially spot is correctly. If you think you spotted the ball incorrectly you DON'T do the following:

1.) Shuffle your spotting foot forward (okay, maybe this is acceptable).
2.) Look to see where the marker is.
3.) Shuffle your spotting foot forward again.
4.) And spot the TAIL of the ball at your toe.

Another questions, why are bama fans defending this ref? You guys as everyone else should be for cleaning up this shite.

One little difference. That was actually an Alabama game.

All fans complain about refs, especially "game-changing" calls. LSU fans just take it to a completely different level complaining about a spot (which might not have even been a bad spot) in the first quarter of a game that LSU wasn't even involved in where the game was won fairly easy and the call had zero impact on the outcome.

His right knee is definitely down with the ball at the 31 and a half yard line. It should have been 4th and a foot.

I think clothesline should be called holding, but that's just me. Do you know who shot Kennedy? J.R.?

Irrelevant.

Why the tendency to defend this ref?
