I think it is absurd to say a school as large and wealthy as A&M is has already peaked moving forward. I think we may struggle next year, but our recruiting is at an all-time high and we are in a position to be competitive for a long time.

Ohrly? You are not a historically prominent program. So is it absurd to think a program that's never been at an elite level will simply, NEVER BE ELITE??? I think not. I think its absurd that you just think it will inevitably happen. Without Manziel, A&M may not even make a bowl in either of these years. That's how bad the rest of your roster is, and you think 1 year of recruiting just changes everything….

Because this has mattered a whole lot over the past two decades.

Do you have a very short memory or something? LSU was a mediocre program historically until Saban woke the sleeping giant. Don't act like it never happens or can't happen just because you hate "aggy".

Gradual, somebody recruited a Heisman QB and two other first round draft choices that played this year. It doesn't get much better than that, but you still end up in the middle of the pack in the SEC West. With Brown leaving the Horns soon and re-vitalized Texas recruiting, I think the Aggies have hit their ceiling in the SEC.

That is fine if you think that, but if your only argument is "them horns are gonna steal all your recruits to get the privilege to play Iowa State and Baylor" I have to laugh. We're owning our state, and as long as we are the only SEC school in Texas, it will stay that way.

If they have to replace a Heisman at. QB there is no. Way they are better next year than this.

Good thing Manning didn't win it at Tennessee yeah?

I'm nearly convinced that you can't win the SEC without a really good power run game. A&M's run game is garbage.

I'm shocked at how bad it is. They'll have some problems next season. They better hope Johnny come back.

The difference being that Tenn had a bad arse team outside of Manning? A&M is not a Tenn level program. Also, that Tenn team with Peyton at least played in a big bowl game…A&M…not so much.

Tenn is a far better program historically. A&M hasn't even touched the level they were at during that run.

You seem like a big fan of irrelevant history. The only history that matters is the past 2 years when we've been the only SEC team in the glorious state of Texas. We own this state, going by that history.

I don't think it's actually all that bad. IMO its more that OC Clarence McKinney has been kind of predictable with his playcalling this year. While it would be tough to say he needs to go due to the huge numbers the O put up this year, I'm not sure that he has a best grasp of when to call what.

No no no. They have a PLETHORA of running backs just STACKED back there.

So by your logic just being in the SEC is what matters? Not championships or wins? Okay.

We only ran the ball 6 times. Quit acting like y'all DECIMATED our run game.

In terms of historical circumstance, yes that is the only history that matters. Life under Texas' shadow has nothing to do with SEC A&M

And LSU was no better than A&M historically until Saban turned them around.

Sumlin is in the middle of that process. IMO we are actually ahead of schedule.

Next year the defense should take a big step up. That alone will give this team a chance to be better.
