What a gay statement. He has a ring because of Tebow, not because of himself.

Two rings.

Also, he was the QB/OC for Tim and is responsible for Great Value QB Kyle Trask. He's actually pretty good at coaching up QBs once he picks the right guy.

Rings as a coordinator?

Yep, Kirby wins that one too.

Dawgs have owned you for the last 3 years. Some wisdom would be to just shut up and produce on the field

Mullen was the best coach in his schools history at Miss State

Smart is another version of the coach he replaced. He recruits better, develops worse(on offense at least). You averaged under five yard per play vs Arky bro. If you think Georgia is not regressing, then you were never as good as you thought. 2017 was great. Since Richts developed players left, it's a steady decline despite elite recruiting. Why is Mullen continuing to improve when adding talent, and Kirby is regressing?

Man you guys are riled up for this season. Creepin' up, isn't it?

Hitting the panic button against Arkansas, they've won one SEC game since 2017.

It doesn't even matter if we lose this year. I think this is our best chance for sure (so far) but I already know: Once Mullen gets a QB that actually fits his system it's a wrap.

Kirby has had one good Quarterback start at Georgia in the last four years: Fromm. And he drove that car right into the ditch.

If you can't develop Quarterbacks, you'll never win in today's game. If you go to the transfer portal for two, are benching guys in the first half of the first game and running prior walk-ons onto the field to salvage your offense, that's just not boding well.

Monken is his third offensive coordinator in four years, and I have a sneaking suspicion that he's going to bail on Georgia after this year, too.

Just like Newman.

There are two of his QBs on the roster right now, and both are being developed by the guy who developed Prescott, Tebow and Brian Johnson.

They are built for his offense.

But you see, there's a difference with Mullen: He's loyal to his Quarterbacks, tries to get their trust and tries to build them up.

He doesn't bench them in the first half of the first game. He's not looking at starting a prior walk-on.

Trask just happens to be a phenomenal quarterback, thankfully our coach knows how to build the offense around him and utilize those talents. Six TD passes in one game, zero turnovers.

Proof it wasnt just Tebow?

Mullen left. The offense regressed in every category. He was the reason we did not repeat in 09 despite having all but two players back. Mullen stays, we are still insane on offense.

Mullen leaving is not the reason... Alabama’s defense skull fricked your offense and Alabama’s offense ran through your defense like a sieve.

And just when y’all thought it couldn’t get worse in that game, Greg McElroy rammed the dick in sideways with the oh shite pass back to the tight end for a TD.

Mullen leaving is NOT why the Gators didn’t win again in 09.

Dan Mullen is a brilliant coach. I'm not a biased DM fan - just realistic in appraising his work. He did a great job at MSU - the a-hole of the SEC. He took MSU all the way to #1. He'll do the same at UF with a couple of years of solid recruiting. He may not win a NC but he will get UF back on top of the SEC East and competing for the SEC and the Playoffs. In comparison to Kirby - DM is a far superior in-game General, tactician, and a better judge of talent. Kirby is the better recruiter but when DM gets the Gators recruiting ship righted nobody in the SEC will like it.

eta - Mullen had 1 losing season in 9 years at MSU. Jackie Sherrill had 6 losing seasons in his 13 years at MSU.

Jackie lacked consistency and played in a significantly easier West. Mullen was better. Even Jackie's West title had an average Mullen record, the West was just literally awful. Where as Mullen faced a dynasty at Bama, LSU being significantly better than the 90s, Ole Miss cheating, and Auburn always being at least good. Mullen was so good, his replacement got fired for doing better than the norm at Miss State prior to Mullen. Literally changed expectations at a bottom dweller to where they expect to go to a bowl, not pray for it.

Yes... you are correct. Jackie’s record at MSt was as .500 as possible at 75-75-2... on top of this, every where he went the NCAA seemed to follow.

This is just more proof of the need for a sarcasm font.
