I think Clemson is better than Harvard. Better reputation for STEM programs and more major options.
Harvard would never be mentioned if it didn't have a law and medical college, and it wasn't one of the oldest colleges.
It is a tiny school at undergrad level so they can be more selective which is what the rankings reflect.

Clemson Alumni's aren’t idiots.
I just don’t think Tillman went there

so you think a real Clemson grad thinks other colleges are better.
lol
Nobody else is gonna believe your college is good if the graduates say others are better.
I don't let the US News rankings think for me.
I know Clemson has a great rep in STEM programs. Wall Street Journal has done articles about Clemson.

Tillman:
Answer this question:
Do you hire someone that attended the University of Phoenix or Clemson if you're a recruiter?

I only know where my school stands in the business school rankings.
I can’t speak for anything else
I’m not delusional

For a job on Wall Street? My answer is I would probably go with the guy from a traditional brick and mortar institution but I wouldn’t rule out the other guy without looking into his credentials.
I am an educated man but to be honest I don’t know much about Wal Street and the finical industry. Kind of hard for me to answer off the hip.
I don’t think IBG would tell me how to be a principal at a high school so don’t feel I should tell him or any other how to do their job.

Harvard doesn't even have an undergrad business college.
I doubt you even knew this. lol
they want you to waste a pile of money on a liberal arts undergrad degree and then get your MBA.

And that’s the difference between the fans and alums in that fan base

Nice no answer.
I would hire the Clemson grad over a University of Phoenix grad, and that gap is pretty wide.
It's also about the same gap as Clemson and Florida, Georgia, Vanderbilt, etc.
If you compare two applicants from Clemson from Florida, you're going to pick the Florida application 9 times out of 10 regardless of the job. The Clemson applicant would get accepted for fast food jobs before the Florida applicant because the Clemson guy would try to make a career out of it since that's as good as it gets.

Harvard comes across as embarassed of business programs...that's why they don't offer undergrad programs.
I think that is a joke.
I would take a person who did an undergrad business program over a person who did a liberal arts undergrad program. If you are truly interested in business, it makes sense to do an undergrad business program.

I can go on a rant about that one.
I’m not sure exactly what those kids do with their degrees
But from my experience you do not see them on fixed income and equity trading desks
Posted on 5/13/19 at 9:25 pm to Tillman
Actually funny now too.
Most trading desks are now looking for kids with math and computer science degrees as the future rolls out more electronic trading

Depends what you’re looking for.
Gimme a kid with a mathematics or computer science degree and can write algorithms for a high touch electronic trading desk
