He played that about as well as he could.
Very good throw.
Plus that was in garbage time of a blowout, so...

Yes, Ja’Marr Chase started as a freshman from the first game.
That’s cute that you made your assessment solely off stats. Add his TD vs Miami that they didn’t review because they wanted to hurry and score, plus the 4 times he got pushed out on the 1 yard line, and you have an “impact” player.

I disagree. Ruggs, Waddle, and Smith made huge impacts as true freshmen.

Not trying to be cute at all and the guy is obviously a game changer but he wasn't as a Freshman.
Not trolling at all and the guy is a stud but WR is a extremely difficult posistion as a Freshman

Waddle yes,the others barely made a blip

Ruggs caught the game-tying touchdown and Smith caught the game-winning touchdown in the national championship game so I wouldn’t say they barely made a blip

One game is your sample size? Pretty silly

It was a pretty important game

It doesn’t stop you guys from using the LSU game as a example of Diggs being trash...

Center has to call protections. I would think it would be hardest for a true freshman to understand stunts and blitzes without ever seeing a college defense before in a real game.

ILB or MLB
Takes time to develop instincts and disciplined eyes to not fall for the eye candy that OCs throw at you to mislead you

Diggs had 4 interceptions in 4 years.
Stingley had 4 interceptions in his first 6 games.

Diggs didn’t play CB his first two years so I don’t know why you’re including them...
He had literally one healthy year at CB

Oline in general, center in particular.

Center and MLB.
These answers are correct. Calling and adjusting the blocking schemes at the line on O and making the calls/adjustments that synch the defensive backfield and the front are acquired with experience.
Both sides of the ball are limited with youth and inexperience at those positions

Hard to disagree.Ive seen underclassmen who were completely lost at the position and then turn into a all SEC player within a year or two
