He has been at Auburn for for four years running his O. He has been running his O, in the SEC, for five seasons. I think he has proven it is sustainable in the SEC.
So he's been there 4 years straight? He didnt jump ship for a "promotion"?

4/5 years. And Arkansas State was a better job than OC at Auburn or HC at Arkansas in. 2012. Are you suggesting the defensive coaches forgot all about his offense in 2012?

Gus will be lucky to get this Auburn team to 7 wins, the other SEC coaches are just that much better than him.
Therefore, your prediction that will happen this year lacks any historical precedent, rendering your assertions on his precious successes highly specious. Let's discuss.

Good point, I will amend to 8 wins.

Even if that were the case, it's 4 more wins than Bielema could muster this year.

I'm surprised how many people bit in this thread. This one was pretty obvious

No I'm stating he has never stayed anywhere long enough to know if his system is sustainable.

As a head coach? OC? Did every tape from Arkansas to Tulsa, to Auburn, to Arkansas State, to Auburn get destroyed in a fire?

Malzahn is an offense genius. Really the only weakness in his scheme is that, if Auburn gets behind the chains, their drive is basically done. His entire passing game is based on the other team anticipating run and on third and 10 and Marshall isn't going to beat you with his arm.
If he ever gets another player like Cam who can run his offense AND routinely beat teams with their arm, his offense might be unstoppable. Cam didn't have the talent around him on offense that Auburn has now.

What the frick are you talking about. What the hell does that have to do with knowing if Gus's system is sustainable?

That's actually his strength, do you even football?

Thought it was pretty clear. I asked if you meant his system as HC or an offensive system? He didn't just appear in Auburn in 2013, he's been around in both capacities.
I don't know every intimate detail of his career like most Arkansas fans, but I believe he has been a success at every level. Am I incorrect? 2014 will also be the 5th year he HS run an offense in the SEC.

and again, this is your problem. can you not have thoughts for yourself or do you need answers to questions to help you formulate an argument from the op?

Auburn was 13th in the SEC last year in 3rd and long situations, but they were first in third and short.

So you don't football

It will be his sixth year in the SEC. He was Nutt's OC the last time Arky won the West. In five seasons, as an OC or HC in the SEC, Gus has three Division titles and two SEC Championships......but just wait until SEC DC's figure out his HS O. Then you will see what kind of a coach he is.

Flip the scrip, yo. We've seen his skit, best seller was "flash in the pan".

By chance, are you in on the ban bet? If not, it's not too late.

#6. Doesn't matter, you should post more before you disappear for the season.
