I have Alabama at #7 and Tennessee #17 based on ranking resumes.
I gave the breakdown above of the 2 teams and why. There is about an 80 point difference between the 2.
So those teams are:
BYU
Texas
Notre Dame
Wake Forest
Ole Miss
Ohio St
Texas Tech
LSU
USCw
In that order.

Nah. What they are doing is making sure the gumps have another mulligan when they lose again. Just like last year and in 23 when they jumped an undefeated FSU team. Sankey works his magic for his darling again.

Wake forest only has the loss to Miami, but you are correct in that they don't have the top tier win like Tennessee does. But with only 1 loss it's just what it is. I think Tennessee is the better team and would win, but the Miami loss just doesn't hurt them and Tennessee just has the 1 win.
If you beat Kentucky I'm pretty sure you'll pass them.
LSU is just barely ahead of you. Lacks the top tier win, but has better supporting wins.
In short, all those low tier wins are dragging you down.

Tennessee has 1 quality win and that's Alabama @ home. That's your entire resume.
Those other teams either have less losses or better supporting wins.
Tell us about the other wins Tennessee has that should make them ranked higher.
