This argument always baffles me. Sure maybe Mullen would have a better record with better recruits but guess what, recruiting is a massive part of success as a coach.
Saying Kirby is only better than Mullen cause of recruiting would be like me saying “If I could make threes with a hand in my face I’d be as good as Steph Curry”
That might be true, but shooting is a huge part of basketball just like recruiting is a huge part of football coaching.

But you don’t understand! If it wasn’t for that part of coaching that is extremely extremely important Mullen wouldn’t be 0-3 against Kirby!!

Mullen could go 0-12 against Kirby and it wouldn’t change the fact Kirby is a racist that will never win a Title. Mullen being bad doesn’t really change that.

This is how you meltdown boys and girls. A lot of melts will have a comment about not caring about losing, some melts will angrily call people racist or other names, but Gatorbait nailed both here.
Can’t wait to see what a 4th year of melting down will bring forth. Maybe call Kirby sexist or something. That’ll make Mullen’s failure to win the division really not matter anymore, I promise.
