Our problem is many of our richest alumni now are nerds who could care less about the football team.

They were around to pay the basketball coach Golden a ton after he won the NCAA title. So I am guessing they will not put up the big money until a coach proves it at UF. He makes 6 million annually now..they have the money when someone is proven.

Just saying some aren't as big of football fans like we had in the 80s and 90s. We have too many Stanford like ones now.

If you think LSU can’t pull together $60 mil, you’re ignorant.

1. LSU has access to money
2. This isn’t “firing on a whim”. He LITERALLY has zero excuses this season to not make the CFB Playoffs (& avoid losing more than 3 games).

Unless he has an Ed O type meltdown, it’s not happening. LSU could ask for the money but at some point money could stop if boosters don’t see a valid return.

You’re saying LSU could easily add $80.5 M to expenditures like it’s nothing. That’s retarded. It’s also not just the HC. It’s any other coach that a new coach wouldn’t retain plus any new hires. No team is doing this in Revenue Share era. Especially when Austin Thomas is starting to kill it with the roster.

LSU would owe BK $51.7 mil after this season, not $80.5. Yes, LSU has access to that much money.

But they added $20.5m in rev share. So it would be $70 m added to the budget. They aren’t firing him.

Did he not deal with free agency in the NFL and guys being paid to play Football? Not seeing how that is a problem that he did not have to deal with in the NFL

Not close to what's going on in CFB.There are enforceable contracts in the NFL.You can't just get up and leave and go to a competitor while under said contract. And you also don't have to beg 18 year old kids to play for you.

Once again, zero chance he wants to deal with that bullshite.
