"Relatively objective"? Did you not hear his lengthy sermon on how great Saban is during one of the media sessions at SEC Media Days? And again yesterday on PM's show? If I wanted a speech writer to come up with a recruiting pitch for my school/its coach, these 2 speeches would be the blue print. He is now representing the SEC, not bama. Why is he getting so much air time as opposed to the other tv analysts? As much as people here knock Herbie or Palmer, I have never heard either give such a sermon as GM has now done twice. If Tebow had done this, bama fans would be losing their minds here. I could care less that it's a former bama player doing this: no former player of any team should be given this much air time, totally unproven, to trumpet how great his former coach/school is.

He did this when on a local talk show here in Arkansas. Sounded really weird the way he would take a question and end up talking about Bama and Saban.

If anything I think Greg is going out of his way to be too objective. Hell, he picked Alabama to lose to LSU and South Carolina. What more do you guys want from him? You will never like him cause he is a bammer so you might as well get over it.

Don't you know? The SEC Network was created as a Birmingham conspiracy to promote and recruit players to the University of Alabama. That's why their cast is full of former Bama players and no LSU players.

I liked GMac the one time I listened to him. Surprisingly so. I actually think he might end up being really good.

...but still...frick the gumps.

I wouldn't call GM picking LSU to beat Bama being objective, its more like he is trolling everybody even Bama to stir up the pot and LSU when he says Miles accomplishments are due to Satan. I really want to see what he is going to say about Miles in the future. If he lasts as an analyst they will be face to face again on national TV. Can't wait for the rematch.
