The following is what A.J had to say when ESPN interviewed him during A-Day
Greg McElroy was asked during a radio interview today about the comments and responded with the following:
Though McElroy went on to be diplomatic about the situation. But I have to agree with McElroy, it was one thing to be emotional after the Sugar Bowl and suggest that. It's quite another three months later.

"I felt like the captains, the older guys, we wanted it. We weren't complacent," he said during an on-field interview with ESPN. "I think if you ask coaches or any of them, they'll tell you that. It takes a full team. We were young. We struggled at times."

In an interview Monday on WJOX's "Morning Drive," Greg McElroy said he "had a bit of a problem" with McCarron's analysis.
"The reason being is because if guys are complacent, especially the younger guys, you refuse to allow that to happen," said McElroy, who attended the game in his new role with the SEC Network. "I didn't appreciate the way he came out and said that about his teammates. The season was over, it didn't go the way we wanted it to go and we're all disappointed with the outcome. That's the way he should have handled it."

Why must sports be so ESPN/TMZ drama queen gossip driven these days?
The only thing I give a damn about are the games.

Greg trying too hard to not be a homer.

Um, it was a lot like Greg's Senior season in 2010.

Didn't really like it either. Honestly I didn't like much about McCarron after the 2012 SEC championship.

I don't recall McElroy blaming young players. Repeatedly...

Whether AJ McCarron meant to or not, he kind of threw his younger teammates under the bus...
I doubt he meant to insinuate that in the interview...

The Ginger vs The Tatt.

AJ is a douche. He'll have even shorter pro career than Bench McElroy. He'll have his reality show and nasty divorce tho.

Be candid, AJ. Do you. Maybe the young guys will start to give a shite when they're called out.

There were attitude problems on the 2010 & 2013 Bama teams. Both had Senior QB's. Greg just needs to shut
his piehole.
his piehole.
