When I say I don't understand something logically, after I say social norms dictate what's legal, it means there isn't a logical argument that one can use to advocate the legality of one and not the other.

I will not name names, but Saban inherited a very talented QB when he went to da tide---ever wonder why this one could occasionally complete passes to the opposition when no tide player was in the vicinity. Even lately ever see a QB pass it to the defense for no reason at all. Weed=BAD JUDGEMENT.

You're a fricking moron.

<---- As a trainer for a BCS program knew MULTIPLE guys that smoked because it sure as shite beat popping pills to deal with the wear and tear. One ended up as a Super Bowl MVP, one was a Heisman candidate, and one was his conference POY.

Weed = For most athletes, an herbal alternative to painkillers.

well then you would end up with a less productive company, especially if 90 percent of your prospective future employees all do the same thing.

Check your numbers again.

and when your production goes down so will your stock holders or your customers and so will your wallet. but thats ok, because you wont have any "reefers" to deal with.

Are you 18 or something? If an employee (not one flipping burgers, but one essential to the success of my company) puts smoking pot above his career prospects, the odds are very low he's the kind of employee that I actually need to grow my company. The ones that dont care are the ones stuck in dead end place filler jobs.

Ive done about ecvery fricking thing you could at point or another. I dont currently do it anymore and i never did it if i worked at a place tht tested.

Most coaches say behind closed doors they'd rather have a pothead than a drunk.

Idgaf what he thinks. I have smoked lots in my life. I don't walk around drooling on myself and I'm far from fried.

He needs to go smoke a joint and chill out.

It wouldn't hurt half of the people in this thread to do this.

Team rules are team rules. I get that. And they should be enforced. But to say pot is any worse than anything else is absurd. Anything fun is bad for you and gives people bad judgment.... I just saw an article discussing whether they should start treating sugar as a controlled substance. The argument here shouldn't be a personal commentary on the ills of marijuana and it's impact on the downfall of society. It's just absurd.

Only one person made that argument.

Times like these are when the most blatantly opinionated morons have a platform to speak their mind. Every time a player gets suspended for weed, it leads to these discussions. They are irrelevant. If they broke rules, they should be punished. Although I don't agree with weed being illegal, I do think that coaches and administrators have to enforce rules.

If it ever does become legal, these opionated assholes will be the first to light up.

I love how people brag about doing something ILLEGAL. Illegal is illegal, get over it. It's not like they did something that violated a written agreement they entered.

You're using a straw man argument here. Only one person went on about the ills of weed (Though i did feel it neccessary to point out Cat guy's ignorance when he said cigarettes were worse). Most others are arguing the idiots broke a rule, showing a lack of respect to their teammates and coach and are (rightfully)getting punished for it.

So destroying your liver with alcohol is ok, because it is legal right? No one is bragging. Everyone has a right to their own opinion though.
