Didn't Anderson just get tbagged by Cincy in the NCAAT?

He's an upgrade over Pel, but he needs a few years to get his guys in place. Ky Madden, 5-stars blah blah wps blah blah

Mizzou fan as well?

Missouri was offereing him $2mil a year. STFU

There is not a better fit for Arkansas basketball than Mike Anderson.

You do not get 1 National Coach of the year honor and a 201-98 record by being a bad coach. Snider killed the Mizzou program and Anderson brought it back. He won a Big 12 conference Tourney and took Mizzou to the pinnacle of their program, an Elite 8.

You're sucking on the sour grapes this morning my friend.

Really? The two SEC teams that played for the SEC championship, one that won the regular season and the other the tourney and the only two in the SEC left in the NCAAs are not the pinnacle of SEC basketball????

Of course Pelphrey beat them. No one goes undefeated in basketball in the SEC at this point.

And? Arkansas played for 2 SEC Championships back to back a few years ago. Does that qualify Heath and Pelphrey as the "Pinnacle of SEC Basketball" in your eyes? Hell no

Donovan lost all my respect when he popped off about our job a week and a half ago. Florida comes to the Bud next year and Anderson will show him what the "pinnacle" is all about.

Not a slight towards you, but we want big picture again. Anderson loves this program and knows what it takes to win here. He is the best man for this job and we are excited that someone wants this job, as much as we want him for the job.

That's cool. But you are looking at what you think the Arky program can and should be and, for now, I think I am realistically looking at what the Arky program currently is.

Doesn't mean its gonna stay that way. Like I said, Anderson is a helluva coach.

Press conference open to the public, and I would not be surprised if Bud Walton is packed to the rafters.

Welcome Home Mike, welcome home.

This video needs its own thread.

They are the pinnacle of the SEC currently and to say otherwise is dumb.

I guess in your eyes Arky is the pinnacle.

I have no idea what BD said about the Arky job. It didn't make the rounds in FL so I assume it was in defense of Pel since they are friends. Edumacate me on what was said.

Also, I'm sure BD is upset that he lost your respect. He's probably kicking his dog right now over it.

I do not think, I know what this program is.

It is a top tier program in the SEC only behind Kentucky in my opinion. It is the 2nd most storied program in this conference.

I have seen this program win tons of conference titles, go to Final Fours. Anderson was a part of all of that.

I know that Bud Walton Arena will be damned hard to win in once again. Anderson cares as much about this program as the die hard fan does. I truly believe he will work his arse off to get Arkansas back to the pinnacle of the sport.

Before you ask, yes, I believe Anderson will deliver another Final Four and possible National Title to Bud Walton Arena.

You conveniently left out the NCAA tourney survival to date and the regular season championship. Not to mention NCAA championships recently.

I can't remember if you are one of the delusional pigs or not but it seems like you are.

But you are right. Arky is not the pinnacle of the SEC in anything except "facility championships".

Well, paint me stupid then. Donovan has been a disappointment since he came back from his short stint with the Magic.

Very mediocre program outside of those two years.

Someone does not think Donovan is a great coach and that makes them delusional? Listen, Donovan had a good couple years with some good recruits, outside of that he has not been anything special. Rather mediocre to say the least.

I'm sad to see Coach Anderson leave Mizzou... A&M was 9-0 against him during his time in the Big 12.

We know how to destroy the press and pressure Basketball.

First off, this is a good hire. Not sure what this lance guy is talking about but I think Anderson will be a success at Arkansas. I don't think this immediately puts them at the top of the SEC but I do believe he will get them there consistently. It should be fun to see what he can do for you all.

Second, I don't like Florida at all. But if you are trying to argue that Florida is not one of the top teams in the SEC, you are flat out wrong (not delusional, wrong). Donovan didn't just "have a couple of good years with some good recruits," he won back to back national titles. Taking those two seasons away, Florida has been around the top of the SEC for a decade. They have not been a "very mediocre" program the past ten years even if you want to discount the two titles (which are kind of important). You don't have to shite on someone else's program by using crap logic just because you are happy about this hire (as you should be).
