When he was at LSU... LSU's biggest rivals were down...
(a)Bama was on probation
(b)Florida was on Zook.
He had only Auburn and Eli Manning to content with.

Now he is in Bama and Bama's biggest rivals are down...
(a)Phat Phill is gone in Tennessee and Kiffin will need time to get it going at best.
(b)Auburn has replaced by far the best big game coach in the country with a mediocre HC who is a marginal recruiter.
(c) LSU decline has begun.
This time the coast is clear to go 12-0 every year.

OK, I consider myself rather negatigerish...but our program is not on the decline. That is a FAIL, my friend.

If half of what Les is rumored to be doing comes to fruition, the LSU will be solid for several years. LSU is down...but no where near out.

Arkansas was a contender every year too, and went to Atlanta in 2002.

And yeah, that "clear path" to go 12-0 every year is hilarious.

Take your Miles hating somewhere eles. People are getting tired you constant negativity.

Let me guess you are a fan that came along when LSU won the NC and your ever happy unless we go undefeated every year.

Geez just STFU.

Way to premature for this. I think LSU will give little Nicky a run for his money most every year. I agree the barn and Rocktop will be 2+ years before being competitive again. Ole Miss will be, at the least, a frequent spoiler. KC.

Hahaha...first the Tigah spin was that LSU made Saban...now its just that Saban was lucky while he was there because everyone else was down (sounds like you are recycling old Bama spin)

Along with UGA...they'll be in the same boat we were in this year.

Last time Saban had no QB he went 9-3, not 7-5.

And I'm a Miles fan, but that is just the truth.

He will still win, and do it with defense.

I'd argue Saban was never in a position where he had no QB. Certainly nothing like LSU faced this season. 2004 featured a 5th year QB in Marcus Randall and 2 talented RS freshman (who would go on to play in the NFL.) Sure, Randall had little experience, but like Flynn had been in the system forever. And I'd argue that Russell and Flynn as raw backups were much better than Lee and Jefferson at this point.

I agree with this, but he will win with defense.

It'll be old school football like it was this season. Run, run, pass, punt, and play defense.

I dont know what the future holds for the SEC, but it's pretty obvious that Bama certainly had good scheduling fortune this year. In any other year I can remember, this Bama team would not have been undefeated.

Winners create their own luck by-and-large, and Saban's climb has it's hand to small degrees in some of the storylines that you list. Some others I agree, were fortunate timing.

+1

Saban-ball, similar to Tressel ball but more effective against elite teams.
