Steve Phillips got Lane so tongue tied and flustered that he was rambling incoherant sentences. Phillips kept on asking Lane questions regarding Coach O and that fact that he contacted recruits. Initially Lane said he did not believe it to be true but the reported mentioned that he knew for a fact that it was. Esentially the reporter caught Lane in a lie about the recruits and he stood on stage flushed and squirmed like a weasel.
