There were two absolute bullshite calls in the first half, one in favor of each team. The first was obviously the Maze sideline reception. I agree that he was bobbling it and it was not a catch. I have no idea what the referees were seeing there. The second was the Luther Davis roughing the passer call. It completely changed the perspective of that drive. From second and long to first and ten deep in Alabama territory. South Carolina got a TD soon after. Who knows if Alabama would have been able to stop them but it would have been a lot easier if that call wasn't made.
