I promise it's ok to admit you were mistaken.

I said I would brush up on the federal rules for relevancy in criminal cases (even though I don't do criminal cases). I still think the prosecutors were awful in their arguments to try to get them in. Congrats on that small win?

Now, I think you should admit that you are mistaken when the NCAA releases it's report about the tapes. Pointing to the federal law for consent isn't good enough. The NCAA will get those tapes if they want them. I think you should go brush up on the NCAA bylaws for investigations. Will Wade must comply or LSU/Will Wade will be in even deeper shite.

There's no pretending. I'm burning on fumes here after a lot of 13 hour days.

Now, go continue to bash random people online when you have zero idea what you're talking about.

Will Wade already did comply with the NCAA though. That’s why he was reinstated.

I think you mean defense counsel. The prosecutors kept the tapes out.

The NCAA has tried more than once to get the tapes. the Motions they filed are readily available on the DOJ website

I'm very aware, but more than Will Wade has to consent to those tapes being released. The NCAA isn't above the law my man. If they were going to compel Wade to unilaterally consent to release those tapes, they would have done so long ago.

The NCAA may very well investigate LSU and may very well find something in that investigation if they dig long enough, but those tapes aren't going to be what brings LSU/Wade down.

Can I request the tapes?

I want them.

Easy. He has other people do it so he doesn't have to know about it. Well that and a self closing office door

actually I was. The tapes were part of a federal investigation by the FBI. Unless those tapes were made part of the record at trial, they cannot be released (outside listed exceptions that do not apply here) without consent of the interested parties (Wade and Dawkins). The FBI is all that matters here. The NCAA has no power to obtain those tapes because the FBI has no legal authority to release them. End of story.

I really don't. I believe you're the dolt that has tried to go down this rabbit hole already unless it's another Auburn fan that argues without any rational basis to do so.

Nice job going and looking at the stuff before posting. Again, multiple 13 hour days (something I doubt you've come close to). Good job.

So the defense counsel was awful in their argument. My point still stands.

No shite the NCAA isn't above the law. I would love to see this go the distance to see how much power the NCAA has in their investigations.

The NCAA won't base their decision on hearsay, of course, but where there's smoke, there is fire.

Maybe you should represent Wade. That way he can get bad advice and defy the NCAA, violate further bylaws, and maybe LSU will get lack of instructional control slapped on them (I know it won't happen, but I dream since you guys are so defiant of your cheating coach).

Oh so now you're faulting me for actually knowing what I'm talking about before posting? The horror

Yet you seemingly have hours a day available for you to post on a message board

They weren't awful, it was just a losing argument from the start. Doesn't matter how good an attorney you are if you have no legal authority to support the relief you're seeking

You should know by now how much power the NCAA has in that regard (very little)

I am not the dolt you're looking for as I've posted very little regarding LSU. Try again.

After looking back on the thread, I do see where the debate went from NCAA investigation to Federal evidence. For that, I was wrong.
