why did you leave out 2 non conference teams for almost every year?

You are right.
We could go the other way and look at what teams have a 4 win season in the past 10 years.
(I'm looking at you, Florida, Vandy, Miss St, Kentucky, South Carolina, Missouri, Arkansas, Tennessee, Ole Miss)

Or you could not pick arbitrary seasons to make this determination.
Because, you know, that's moronic.

GT has had SIX losing seasons since they made the one BCS bowl game.
They have been terrible and would be at the bottom of the SEC, despite the fact that they made it to that one bowl game that one year.

Every team in the bottom half of the SEC has been at the bottom of the SEC in the past 10 years.
You are writing my point for me.

Good lord, re-read this to yourself.

Again GT has six losing seasons since they managed to have a good one. The only SEC team in that camp is Vanderbilt. No other SEC team had more than 4 losing seasons.
GT is comparable only to Vanderbilt in that time period.

So, all teams GA plays sucks therefore their schedule sucks is the conclusion for all seasons they win a Natty?!
Posted on 9/22/23 at 10:03 am to Grad92
The only stat that matters is that UGA was able to win the final game of the year, two years in a row.
Everything else is fluff.
But go ahead, enjoy your moral victory.

What? Nobody said this.

Complaining GT sucks and the rest of the schedule sucks seems to be your fan bases and others recurring theme.
Thus, the conclusion all of a sudden is everyone but GA sucks and that is why we keep winning. Not that other teams might be good, but GA is just better overall

Nobody's "complaining" that GT sucks. We're just pointing out they suck. And for some reason the dawg in this thread is trying to convince us they don't. Which is dumb as hell.
The rest of your post is imaginary, nobody is making that conclusion.

They suck no more than half of the SEC.
Half of the SEC is below average. That gets lost on the conference a lot.

No, they suck worse. As I pointed out, they're down with Vandy for losing seasons in the last decade. And that's in the ACC.

GT has had a single horrible coaching hire. They had 4 years of Geoff Collins, all losing seasons. 3 3-win seasons and 1 5-win season.
The 11 years prior to that under Paul Johnson? 9 bowl seasons, 2 BCS level bowls and 1 BCS bowl win.
6 years before that were all winning seasons (though 5 of the 6 were 7-win seasons). Chan Gailey
7 years before that under George O'Leary, 6 winning seasons.
GT is a mid-range team who's coming off a bad coaching hire. As long as their current coach isn't dreadful... they'll go back to being a 6-8 win team most seasons. That's what they are.
They're an Ole Miss type team. They're just in the spot where Ole Miss was coming off Ed Oregeron (without his recruiting setting up Houston Nutt's first couple of seasons).

A solid program?
Yes a solid program.
Geoff Collins was a horrible hire that led them to 3 3-win seasons and a 5-win season in his 4 years. From 1995 (start of O'Leary) to 2018 (End of Johnson), GT went to bowls in all but 4 seasons (O'leary's frist 2 and 2 of the last 4 of Johnson)
That's what Tech is. A low level bowl team that gets 6-8 regular season wins and occasionally will compete for an ACC title and occasionally have a horrid year. The last 4 years are the anomaly.
Tech isn't great, but GT will be back to a consistent 6-8 win team under any adequate coach. Is the current guy adequate? We'll see.

But they haven't been the last 10 years. Which was the argument. That they're "middle of the SEC." Which is moronic.
