I don't hate Etling at all. In fact I respect the hell out of the kid. He's tough as nails. What we saw Saturday was a QB who's reached his talent threshold. He's rarely going to lose LSU a game, but he's also not going to be able to beat a good defense. He's the definition of a game manager.
LSU went toe to toe with Bama in every facet except for two. Those were QB play and punting. It was actually surprising that LSU had the success they did in the trenches. I certainly wasn't expecting it.

This right here should show that LSU is on the right track. Besides the trenches LSU WRs came to play and #7 was a beast out there.
This team reminds me of the UA 2010 team that finished strong.
I enjoy CFB and would rather play a great team then beat someone that can not compete. Hope LSU can give us a great game every year.

Same here. Once everyone cuts through the bs, there is much respect on both sides because we mirror each other. Alabama has just been able to do it a little better than us!!!
