Or maybe, and hear me out, these recruiting services haven’t figured out how to really evaluate transfers.

Have to be smart about portal acquisitions. I love what Elko has been doing this offseason, though much of it is under the radar. Is the team filling needs?

Got the Illinois kicker, which lack of kicking actually came back to bite A&M this year. Proven kicker is better than the projects we've been playing
Got one of the better IOL in the portal, still need a few more
Pulled the best player from a terrible Colorado squad at safety
Obviously TE is an issue because he pulled two of them already

You just have to find the kids that fill the holes in a squad that is mostly complete. Unlike recruiting, which sometimes seems like a "star" search.

Goodman is a tool but it's hard to argue with anything he said in that article.
