Because you’d like for the person or entity you’re dealing with to conduct themselves in a professional manner and not leak the agreement before the agreed upon time.

I'm so glad we're in that grace period of a new AD where he hasn't done anything majorly wrong yet and I don't have to hate him
One could argue not firing Beamer this year, but given the coaching landscape and the mess a LOT of schools are going through this year, how can you blame him for waiting?
