I wonder if he took back over play calling on the offense would we see a difference. I think this could be his next step based off of the poor performance this year. If that doesn't work then it should make the decision easier for him to step down.

You all are going to need a IPF in order to bring in a big time coach. See Florida this year. McElwain demanded we get one. You're going to have to teach old dawgs new tricks I suppose.

That is in the works I believe.

SOJ, the fan base is now split. It's been up & down for the last 5 years, but since October started and ended, much of the fan base is ready for a move, including many of the big check writers.
I expect to see empty seats for Kentucky this week.......and that doesn't look good on TV to big wigs of the program.

I'm glad to see you started posting around here.
Now report to Political Board and start schooling the Obama fan boys with facts and reality.

So many openings coming up this year.... You all might want to hang on to Richt for another year or 2 and see how the coaching changes unfold before jumping the gun.
Actually the sad truth is that coach vacancies are going to be the norm very soon...fans are impatient...although mutt fans have had Richt a long time. The days of guys coaching 15 years is ending for most schools unless the HC has won NCs somewhat recently. I dont care for it..it impacts families, asst coaches and others who are working their arse off to win.
UF fired Zook halfway through his third season and we were 8-5. Muschamp after 4 years and we went to a bowl game....etc etc We would have never kept Richt this long. For crying out loud he had a 6-7 losing record not too many years ago and lost to UCF in some 3rd tier bowl game...you had your chance.
But UGA is scared of the unknown...sorta how they played yesterday.

We are rooting for UGA to keep Mark this year. Our lives will be a little easier if we are the only East team in the market.

"you had your chance"
Wait..was there a memo sent out to the fans...were they passing out torches and forming angry mobs at the administration's doors....
I must have missed that memo...
In all seriousness....I didn't get that f54kn memo...I'm so pissed...
YOu seem to be able to understand this UGA entity ...can you give him a call for us folks that didn't get the memo?
maybe have them resend a new memo?
I'd like a say in this matter...My body is ready..

Georgia's best case? Probably getting rid of Richt this season and getting Fuente.
It'd be pretty interesting if Georgia did hire Fuente and we hired Herman.

You guys are crazy. Georgia is a decent qb and a healthy Chubb away from being legit next yeAr

The worst case with firing Richt is- Tennessee- you think they thought the last decade was even a possibility after firing Phil?
On the other hand-- there is a former Georgia star turned coaching superstar available, a man so good he actually reversed the trend of Florida-Georgia games #BringBoomHome!

They've recruited way, way, way too well to have that as an excuse. They have healthy years all the time, and every year they just seem to underachieve.
Losing isn't bad, getting blown out by the two teams you needed to be good against is really, really bad.
Mark Richt, suffice to say, has lost control.

Crazy stat on Fuente: his top three wide receiver are all former walk ons, his system is better then any system I have seen. Literally the definition of plug in offense

And Nunez will be improved and we have a highly touted and recruited QB named McIlroy that will be a Gamecock. (early enrollee as well)
Also, Pharoh Cooper said recently that he is thinking that he will return next year instead of declaring for the draft bc he wasn't able to get the stats he desired this year.
We return David Williams and several other WR and RBs next year.
Most of our D will be returning.
We will no longer have an interim HC and are cleaning house of our shitty assistants.
We won't be dealing with a HC walking out in the middle of the season.
Interestingly, we've hired the same search firm out of Plano, TX that acted as the intermediary for the Fuente/Memphis hire. Tanner was obviously in Houston at the time since Plano is basically a suburb of Houston....and we all know Herman is Houston's coach. (credit to scrooster for that info before the media even got a hold of it)
Word coming out of the University is that the order in which they are looking at coaches is Herman, Fuente then Smart.

Georgia is in that dangerous Nebraska-type situation...
Nebraska fired Frank Solich after logging in a 10 win season at Nebraska. They then hired Bill Callahan and disaster ensued.
Nebraska then went on to fire Bo Pelini after a 9 win season. Now look what's happening with Mike Riley...
The difference is that Nebraska is in Nebraska.

UGA recruits in the top 10 almost every year, it's hilarious that they can't make it to the SECCG in a "down east"

I didnt print enough flyers for UGAs fans after y'all went 6-7...but I was probably thinking the vast majority of mutts would have seen the handwriting on the wall, hell it was jack hammered I think. Now, in all fairness Richt did go out and get a great recruiting class some deemed the best in the country (which proves going 6-7 doesnt stop you from snatching recruits away from 12-1 teams) and you guys did improve.
Richt has recruited well and that isnt the problem..its the development of them thats missing. Hell....if recruiting was the only criteria we would still be coached by Zook.
