Georgia posters- Does your quarterback situation not worry you? Coming into the season, I thought that Greyson Lambert would be comparable to Hutson Mason. Through two games, he has been even worse! That is concerning for a top 10 team with SEC and National championship aspirations. Are you concerned that when Georgia plays Bama or Florida or any other good defense that has the players to hold Chubb to around 100 yards and 1 touchdown that Lambert will not be able to go and win the game for you?

It just seems like a worse situation than Georgia fans talk about. The defense is close to being championship level, the running backs are championship level, the o-line and WR's are close, but the quarterback play is not very good. It won't hurt you against South Carolina, but down the road it could be a problem. Is the competition opening back up? What do you want to see Richt do about it?

He is very capable (finished 11 of 14 for 114 yards).

But very inconsistent.

It isn't like Murray's offense wouldn't hit a quarter or two where the offense couldn't get the ball in the endzone.

Not worried. But I am understanding that he could go 16 for 20 for 200 yards one week and 11 for 20 for 114 yards the next.

Mason started bad but did improve a lot later. Very concerned about lambert and I feel our best passer by far is his back up.

He is holding the team back though. I just dont see him leading you down the field with ice water in his veins to win a ball game for you against a team like Bama or Georgia Tech, hell even Auburn or Florida.

He (or whovever the QB ends up being) needs to get better, no doubt about it.

When has he been asked to do that?

We have had the lead on both games.

We haven't had to spread the field against a prevent defense.

It is 2 games. No one knows what the passing attack is capable of because we have a new OC and new QB. Patience grasshopper.

It worries a lot of UGA fans.

Nope. Schottenheimer has doubled down on Lambert being the QB, and it seems like Richt is letting him choose his guy.

Honestly, Ramsey deserves a shot.

That's my point.

He hasn't been asked to do that, but at some point this year Chubb isn't going to win you a football game on his own. Lambert is going to have to step up and win the game. And when there's two minutes left and UGA is down by four, a guy like Aaron Murray scared me. I just don't think Greyson Lambert will have that killer instinct to go and get the win. The time will come where you'll need him, either against Bama, or Tennessee, or Florida, or Auburn, or Kentucky, or Missouri, or Georgia Tech, but when it does I think you'll realize that what could have been a championship level roster got wasted away because of the quarterback play.

Of course that could happen. There's nothing we can do about it though. UGA isn't going to find some All-American QB hanging out on campus between now and the end of the season.

You could make the same hypothetical about Bama, or LSU, or Auburn, etc.

you clearly are either:

1)completely and utterly ignorant on teh subject matter
2)attempting to troll

Since the clock hit 00:00 on the belk bowl our entire fanbase has been worried about QB. Since January, the only 2 weeks we've been "not quite as worried" has been when lambert was named starter (and the less worried part was because we stopped worrying about WHO would start and could actually start reading up on one guy) and after ULM, where he looked very good against an overmatched cupcake.

Our fans have been unbelievably realistic about QB this entire calendar year.

I live in Atlanta and listen to the sports talk daily about how UGA has talent thats comparable with Bama and the defense is one of the best in the nation, but the quarterback situation rarely comes up. They talk about how poorly he played but never actually discuss if it's going to be a problem going forward fr the rest of the season. I wanted to see what UGA fans on this board thought's were about the situation.

Because they beat you in Athens last year, won the Orange Bowl and have put up 60+ points in their first two games, and after they beat Notre Dame in South Bend they could very well be a top 10 ranked team in the nation.

this year is all that matters and they beat Alcorn St., a team that would lose to several ATL area High schools and Tulane. So I ask again, how do you know? They could be good but there is no reason to think that now. We will find out this weekend.

Take off your blinders, they are ranked high for a reason, and they have a major QB advantage over most teams they will play

that miiiiight be a stretch, but it's a somewhat valid comparison

I don't listen to those shows so I can't answer that. I also think it's odd that you are asking why Georgia's fanbase (like, all of our fans) think a certain way, based on what 3 guys on a microphone in a studio think. Those people aren't our fanbase.

The same thing we've said the whole entire time. It's an issue, we have the potential but it is unproven and until we see more out of the position we dont' really know what to expect yet. The end.

We'll see but running up the score on those teams proves nothing. They could prove something this W/E.
