I think the problem is more on coaching then Eason. The coaches need to coach him up and the rest of the team. Even Stafford never seem like he improved much at UGA. With his talent he should have done a lot better in college.

Georgia and dominate should never be used in the same sentence.

I don't care who the coach is.

You had to make this thread and jinx us. We don't need any hype. We need to stay under the radar. We're better as an underdog than as a frontrunner.

They will win some games on talent alone but will struggle vs the craftier veteran coaches

IMHO Eason is not the answer and unless they find a new QB and Kirby learns how to be a HC, UGA will stay upper middle of the east, but not 1st. Eta: for all the UGA fans about to get their panties in a wad. I'm not the only one saying this. ATL sports radio 92.9 & 680 are saying the same things.

Eason was a true freshman playing behind a bad offensive line and throwing to mediocre receivers. Who the hell judges true freshman as if they aren't going to progress. Kirby Smart just finished his first year. Do I really need to bring up other first year coaches? Nobody, I repeat nobody gives a damn what the clueless idiots on Atlanta sports radio have to say.

Yes, I'm sure you have any clue what they're going to do.

This is definitely not true at all. Even as a freshman, he had a rough year statistically but it was obvious that he was getting better toward the end of the season. He just never put up huge numbers in college because UGA had more of a balanced offense which gave them the best chance to win.

With Eason, he probably made less mistakes and had better overall numbers than Stafford but he just seemed to have up-and-down performances without much consistency. I will admit that it's somewhat concerning, but at the same time he led 4th quarter comebacks in 3 of his first 5 college games. It seems no stage is too big for him. As long as he develops some type of chemistry with his receivers in the offseason, I think he'll be a more consistent player next year.

Kirby is stocking up that roster with elite talent that only Bama & maybe OSU can match. They'll run through the East like a hot knife through butter.

I hope you're right. We've been favored before and fallen flat, though.

Question for UGA fans: What does your returning lineup look like for next year as far as experience goes? Areas for confidence and concern?

We should be improved at every position group. However, we will be very young at the OL, so that would be the biggest area of concern.

I listen to hours and hours of 680 every day. Not a single host or guest has ever said any such thing. In fact, they say the opposite. They are in general agreement that Eason is the answer, even UGA-hating Chuck Oliver says Eason is the real deal.

I can't tell you what 92.9 says, I don't listen to shitty radio stations.

Nick Saban was 7-6 his first season at Alabama, with a loss to Louisiana Monroe - possibly the worst loss in school history. Anyone judging a coach on his first year is being really short sighted and silly. Especially when the coach is raking in talent like Kirby is. The talent around him moving forward will make up for most of his deficiencies.

History shows Georgia Southern was 5-7 last year. What did you learn from that?

Even though we've owned UGA, UF fans are making the rest of us look bad. Especially when we have a shitty offense and average recruiting. Smh. Except for the comment about Treon and LDR beating UGA. That's funny because it's true
