Actually, if Texas loses the SEC Championship game, they should be out.
One top 25 win over an 8-4 team isn't very impressive. Texas was demolished at home by the only other ranked team they played even though the refs and trash throwing fans tried to steal the game.
Texas is basically Clemson.
