Tennessee has more Heisman Runner-Ups (4) without having a winner than any FBS program.

Well, that interesting. But if we are giving out credit for “almost” winning something, Georgia has you beat with 3 “almost” national championships (1982, 2012, and 2017).

Edit: On a side note, kind of a shame Georgia didn’t get the BCS bowl bid to the Sugar Bowl in 2012. One of those annoying features of the BCS system to reward teams that didn’t play in the conference championship game. (Florida was 11-1, and Georgia was 11-2, even though Georgia had the head-to-head over Florida.)

One would have to seriously argue that 2 more Heisman Trophies far outweighs 3 additional total wins.

I wouldn't argue this. Alabama didn't have a Heisman trophy before Saban arrived, but there were seasons when that was absolutely a travesty.

3.5 national titles? LOL at any fool buying into the 2003 USC AP trophy as a NC.

Don't misunderstand I would put LSU ahead of us right now....

But...didn't Chicken say if it isn't AP it doesn't count?

And yet travesty is a subjective term, is it not? I mean, are we going to claim championships, Heisman's, wins based upon fan base opinions? or popular opinion?

You can't claim Heisman's based on opinion. I mean, I consider Herschel not winning the Heisman his freshman season a travesty. Does that mean we can claim it?

Try playing Bama every year ! Georgia was gifted to play in the SEC East. O don’t conveniently forget the last few butt swooping you took from LSU to boot”.

UGA had to play UTK and FL in the 90's. The West was much weaker then.
