Come again? So they can develop a walk on but let their high-speed recruits go unattended?

I can only attempt humor; I can't promise you'll get it.

But....you don't think taking a walk on QB to the National Championship game is developing? I get it. He is not the best obviously. But, he is a walk on that is playing like a high 3* or low 4* player, don't you think? He's something like 5'11". It's not like he has all the physical tools, but he is playing pretty well considering his limitations. You can credit him (which he should be given credit) but why do you think he has not been developed?

That is one way to look at it and you can probably attract some good 3 star type guys and preferred walk-ons by pointing this out to them.

The 5 star guys on the other hand see the examples of Fields, Eason, and Daniels and might wonder what's up with those situations?

finding the best place to develop…which would obviously rule out UGA

Interesting to note the ole miss qb got worse from 20 to 21, while the uga qb improved.

I mean, for real y'all. They can't even develop a walk-on QB into someone who throws for 300+ yards and 3 TD's in a playoff game. Buncha' bums up there in Athens.

I get it. And they would be told we had a QB that was just outside of being a 5* and he won the job. Top 32 -35 are 5* and Fromm was #44 in his class. It's not like a walk on beat Fields and Eason out. Daniels is unique in that he seems to stay injured. he was coming off an injury when he came to us from USC, and played when he got healthy. he got injured again shortly before the season and hasn't been back.

According to you guys injuries don't matter, though!

I can only assume that is what you mean when you say Daniels should have been starting.

As for Fields, Eason etc....they got beat out by a player who, AT THE TIME, was a better QB and was rated near where they were. had they stuck around for a second year they might have won the job. They didn't want to wait/compete.

I think he is referencing Corrals YAtt and YPGame both went down from 2020. He also threw for more TDs in 2020 in fewer games. Quarterback rating also went down.

How so?
The man said Corral's numbers went backwards from 2020 to 2021. Are you saying they didn't?

Reading that Georgia is back in the lead.......

Don’t worry about a full QB room, that will clear out in about a day......

I still will believe it when I see it. Personally? I wish we would go out and get a QB coach (Hearing we will) and develop the talent we have in the room right now. We should turn our attention to positions we need worse.

We'll see.

If in fact Kirby is after Williams, then he is telling you he doesn't care if some in the QB room leave. Consider the fact he has them at practice each day and he better than anyone understands the real deal.

JMO but you will never have more than 2 good QB's on your roster going forward due to the portal process. (any team)
