So what's the Aggies excuse?

It doesn't matter if they're underdogs cause Lil Jordan and Collin Johnson would shite on A&Ms secondary. Sorry just the truth. That secondary is hot garbage. And there are Aggies who wanted OU bshahaha. That would've been glorious to see Kyler run and pass all over his old team

Texas is getting better and they are young.

Texas starts 13 seniors and 6 juniors (2 of which may leave for the draft). Texas could return as few as 7 total starters next year (8 if we count Ingram as a defacto starter at this point) and potentially only 2 on defense.

Texas is many things, but young isn’t one of them. They are the single most experienced team in the Big XII and lose more total starts after this year than all but 1 other P5 team.

Texas will be very young NEXT year and probably take a step back because of it.

Agree if Burrow can run for 66...I can see Ehlinger doing the same.

Sure, but we’d stuff their run game, do pretty much whatever we wanted on offense and grind them down. We’ve played 5 teams better than them this year (Clemson, Bama, LSU, Kentucky, MSU) and 7 defenses better than theirs.

And A&M/OU would simply be whoever had the ball last. They’d exploit the shot out of our secondary and we’d run for 300-400 yards on them.

There are only 2 teams on your list that I would say are certainly better than this Texas team. Clemson and Bama, and I'm not even sure about Clemson.

We have the #2 rushing defense in the entire country despite playing 6 teams in the top 30 nationally in rushing.

You were in 4 quarter dogfights with Army, Kansas, Oklahoma State, Iowa State and Texas Tech. I’m confident we could fare at least as well as that lot.

So?

And as far as Clemson, that defense looks like a vintage Venables OU defense to me. Strong in the trenches, but porous on the backend and subject to the rapey inclinations of any decent QB with decent WRs.

I don’t know how this turned into an A&M/OU thread, but whatever.

OU’s offense is absolutely elite. Arguably the best in CFB history. Lincoln Riley is probably the best offensive mind out there. Their defense is absolutely awful, but should be better next year with a full offseason w/ no Stoops. Texas, is relatively mediocre in all facets of the game but not bad at anything really. WRs are elite. QB is a stud. But they’re still probably a year or two away from competing with teams like UGA IMO.

We’ll see, but i fully expect Georgia to cover the 11.5

Tell you what, Ags. Beat NC State and then the whole college world will bow to your dominance and relevance.

Georgia plays like they did against Bama and they win something like 45-14

Honestly, even an LSU-type effort probably results in a close Georgia win. The talent gap between Georgia and Texas, at least among contributers this year, is extremely wide. Texas has two players who could start for Georgia.

Aggot #28 scoring offense
Aggot #34 rushing offense

Trying to justify a comeback win at home against Army

“Mighty” OU indeed
